In the discussion following an article on World Can't Wait at the January 27 antiwar protest down in Washington, the article quickly attracted a few good posts, some boosterism and critique. Better than most for at least having some substance, it was still plagued by the same negativity that craps all over any post of substance.

There have been a few articles about the state of Indymedia since it started. NYC has been one of the more active sites, and even here the number of people using the site is down considerably. The overwhelming critique I've heard is about the negativity and trolling.

"Don't mourn, Organize!" is an old saying, so I'm giving it a try. If you use this site, turn here for information and see the importance of an open forum for the New York left – contribute to this discussion.

Maybe we'll make it better.
