Isa Moskowitz – Brooklyn’s own creator/co-host of The Post Punk Kitchen

We are a public access vegan cooking show. We've always loved cooking shows but they tend to be gross. So we thought it would be nice if there was something watchable for vegetarians. And people who may not have fancy accoutrement. (Please say that word in a french canadian accent because it's funnier that way).

Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World, by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero, 2006

75 dairy-free recipes that are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth and add some extra padding to your butt (or not, we do have some low-fat options!) Named "Cookbook of the Year" by VegNews, vegan cupcakes is the perfect book for beginner bakers wanting to learn the basics as well as the accomplished home baker who wants to expand her/his repertoire. What's more, it's a really awesome looking book with color photos by Rebecca Bent throughout.

We've got recipes to fit your every mood and to work with every dietary restriction. While most recipes are decadant and all out naughty, we didn't leave anyone out. Your aunt is gluten free? No problem! Your boyfriend is trying to lose a few pounds? Send him our way! Your third cousin once removed is diabetic? We've got you covered.

Vegan With A Vengeance, by Isa Chandra Moskowitz, 2005

Over a hundred and fifty truly inspired, decadent, creative recipes, all without the help of any store bought meat analogs. Isa brings the do-it-yourself, community-driven ethos of punk rock into the kitchen. Her cooking philosophy embraces being kind to animals (all recipes are completely animal-product free) and your wallet—while being creative and having fun in the process. She emphasizes fresh ingredients over heavily processed corporate brand-name foods and says that, like good music, cooking is best when it’s an innovative, experimental, and completely real experience. Her inspired recipes cover all meals of the day and are influenced by dishes from around the world.

“Vegan With A Vengeance is on my kitchen shelf. This fun and creative book is delicious for people like me, who don’t eat pets!” –Joan Jett
