Pigs use orange "Freedom Fence" just like during the 2004 RNC
In addition to the orange "Freedom fence, there were reports of Tasers being fired at protesters and a of Mace being used. Although occupywallst.org has retracted the report of mace, the "Freedom Fence" video also reports that some women in the pen were sprayed with something-and one woman can be seen on the ground screaming. I cannot judge whether this was from Mace or something else.
As I post this the police have surrounded Liberty Plaza, effectively placing all of Occupy Wall Street that has not been arrested under siege.
Incidents of this sort of police aggression against protesters in DC have led to everything from serious property damage in later retaliatory raids by protesters to tens of millions being paid out in lawsuits. Let's see what kind of punishment protesters dish out the NYPD and the NY banks for this act of war against a group of peaceful protesters who up until now wave stayed entirely within the bounds of nonviolence.
