US president George W Bush has declared was on all forms of terrorism. The president said the fight against terrorism had become the focus of his administration. FBI agents in conjunction with local police agencies have been directed to arrest the entire CIA. No official charges have yet been leveled on indiciduals, but an offical for the FBI stated, "These charges will be in relation to the training, funding and logistical support of terrorism in El Salvador, Guatemala, Chile and ongoing terrorist support for Columbia. The acts of barbarism in the named countries are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. Make no mistake; we are closing the net on the enemies of democracy."
In other developments special task forces of Internal Affairs Police Officers have been directed to arrest the FBI officers responsible for COUNTINTELPRO attacks on members of the Black Panther Party, United Slaves and Earth First! During the arrest of the FBI suspect David Williams, who is believed to be involved in a car-bombing non-violent Earth First Activists Daryl Churney and Judi Bari, one Oakland police officer had to be restrained by colleagues as he physically attacked one of the suspects screaming, "this one's for Judi you bastard!". A spokesperson declared, "While we expect all our officers to remain professional at all times it can be difficult especially when your are arresting people charged with such horrendous crimes. However, it must be stressed that at this point Mr. Williams is only being detained for questioning."
As the sweep continues, former president Ronald Regan who had previously declared himself a terrorist when he remarked, "I am a Contra." is currently consulting with his lawyers on his mental fitness to stand trial. The FBI is dealing with 700 leads from the public and has set up a website containing a form people can use to report any new information on the attacks. Agents had also made a number of other raids during a search for another former US president terrorist ring-leader Bill Clinton who is wanted in connection for a number of crimes including aiding and abetting bombing and shootings in Turkey and Iraq. While Clinton has so far evaded the security net police and FBI sources where quick to point out that there would, "be nowhere to hide for such criminals."
The actions have not been restricted to law enforcement actions, the US military confirmed it has fired 5 tomahawk cruise missiles against the home of Henry Kissenger, the man believed to be responsible for the state-sponsored terrorist attacks on Cambodia and Laos. Other sources have linked the elusive and shadowy Mr. Kissenger with investigations of terror in Chile. Further military strikes occurred as US Marines, backed up by UN peace-keeping troops from Kenya, stormed the gates of the 'Schools of the America' based at Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia. Senior intelligence sources say the fort is nothing more than a training camp for the worst forms of terror - kidnapping, torture, assassination and rape. So far 5 Columbians and 1 US solider have been killed in fierce fire-fights. The commander of the operation, Colonel Kurtz said, "Fatalities in the war against terrorism unfortunately are to be expected, but do not let the fore underestimate our resolve or determination to bring them to justice.
Earlier president Bush had warned that there would be no refuge for terrorist and added that he had spent much of the day calling world leaders, whom he said had expressed "their solidarity with this nation's intention to rout out and to whip terrorism". Arrests were a feature in other countries too, as the UK premier Tony Blair was lead off to be questioned under the Prevention of Terrorism Act over illegal bombing actions in Iraq and Kosovo. A police spokesman said, "We regrettably must inform the public that the death toll of these illegal bombings may exceed the tragic events in Washington and New York." Other British arrests have included a number of cabinet ministers from the 80s and 90s who are believed to be responsible for a 'shoot to kill' state-terrorism policy in Northern Ireland. A Home office spokesperson issued a statement that condemned all forms of terrorism; religious, private or state sponsored. The statement ended that once official investigations were concluded plans were being drawn to prevent future terrorist attacks by disbanding all state machinery. Sources also suggest that similar preventative measures are a-foot in the US, Germany and France.
If only.
