This is treason and you should be reported. How can you support what you are doing after we were attacked? You are offering information that may be of importance to the enemy and you should be watched. I recommend you take down
your site and wake up! We live in a new era and we must be realistic. If you continue to operate I will personally report what you are doing to the security authority in New York.

Concerned.

How Much Repression Is Verified?

Oct 03, 2001 05:41PM EDT

ASAN

I chased several posted stories about websites being shut-down. I haven't gotten "hard facts" on anything. If anyone has follow-up information on any websites being shut-down please post them here.

One thing to remember is that an ISP can shut-down a website for many reasons. It is quite possible some ISP are shutting down sites on the pretext of Secret Service actions. It is possible the Secret Service is bluffing ISPs into shutting down sites despite the SS not having real authority to seize things.

Note that InfoCom, the ISP mentioned in one post, is apparently back in opperation. As a mainstream business, it seems like they wouldn't post information on the search of their business.

Any news on the 900 plus people arrested?

Oct 26, 2001 12:42PM EDT

enrico

I am looking for news about the people who have been arrested since September 11th. The only stories that seem to get out are the ones that appear to be linked to the attack. What about all the people who have been incarcerated but have not been formally charged with anything, or even investigated? The problem made the news briefly with the death of a man who was in INS custoby on his way to deportation, but other than that I haven't heard a thing. Has anyone else? And, if so, what news sources have been reporting it?
Thank you.

The REAL Treason

Nov 15, 2001 07:00AM EST

Jonathan Cook

The real treason is what the Bush Administration is doing to our civil liberties. Are you aware that Bush has ordered, without even consulting members of Congress, that people detained in the United States be given military tribunals so that they will have none of the constitutional protections they're supposed to have under the law and so that the American people will never have to be shown the evidence aginst them?

Bush says he's fighting for us, and waging a war for freedom, but he betrays the American people by using his war as an excuse to destroy our constitutional rights. It's a crime as outrageous as the attacks of September 11, and the American people need to do something about it before it's too late!
