It hits the head on the nail

Sep 15, 2002 02:53PM EDT

Italics Mine

"Earth to Bush..." This is one of the funnyest slogans I've seen in a long while.
And, it seems that these mere 3 words can apply to just about any thing regarding the wit and wisdom of his truly.

Thank You!

Sep 15, 2002 06:30PM EDT

Jennifer

Thank you to everyone involved in this banner raising. We need many more people doing just this sort of thing for our voices to be heard. The human spirit is so great and you have demonstrated this well.

It all comes down to oil

Sep 15, 2002 08:04PM EDT

Bob Wilhelm

The greedy little President Pinhead and VICE president Cheney are both oil men. Them and their bloated oil, defense and automobile henchmen see millions of dollars in a war with Iraq. Let these scumbags spill their blood for money and let the rest of us go. At the same time Let Rush Limbaugh and his cowardly chickenhawk listeners be the vanguard of the offense on Iraq.

No in UK too

Sep 15, 2002 09:05PM EDT

Lee Sexton

Got to say that in the Uk the MASSIVE public opinion is no also. Even people who before would support such actions are no longer supporting this nonsense after seeing the disgusting things going on in Afghanistan. Big demonstration here in London on the 28th of this month to say no to this, whats the best there will be little or no media attention. It is well known that this is all about oil and it is trully disgusting. The Saudi's are mad, they should NOT support this having a dictatorship in place and trying to side with the US, they will most definitely be next, so it might be an idea for them not to support and to with-hold the oil to the US and UK.

Bush better not go to war. Many Iraqi citizens will die for nothing. It will be the attack on the Kurds all over again.

Thank God for Free Speech

Nov 17, 2002 11:48PM EST

David Hellwege

I agree that "Junior" did most of the right things following Sept. 11. Our war is with Al Quida and Bin Laden. But "Junior" has yet to "lead" by completing what he started, that war is not yet resolved. "Junior's" fear of Saddam Hussein stems from his own helplessness during the time his Father was in charge. I don't think Saddam Hussein is a terrorist in the same league as Bin Laden. Hussein's terrorism is mostly against his own people in order to protect his sovereignty in Iraq. A war with the US or the UN would jeporadize that position. Junior is only making the Iraqi people fear him more than they do Hussein. But I think that Bush believes that if he fails to make war, he will lose the election for second term (which he fears almost as much as Hussein), I think he is right about the latter. Bush has totally failed to make a rational case to the American people for a war of aggression. He has totally failed to revitalize the economy, preferring to visualize himself as the helpless victim of a predecessor's policies. The Republicans call this "leadership"?

No video

Not a comment, because I can't view the video. I'm not allowed to install REAL products on my machine because they invariably screw something up, and the IS department doesn't like that. Is there another format I can use to view the video? Windows 2000 is the platform I'm using.

Thanks.

Bond

the truth Mr. Bush:

Dec 03, 2002 08:41PM EST

mohamad navab

the best way to get rid of saddam is to make him hold a free election in iraq

just da facts....

Dec 12, 2002 04:47PM EST

jsadler@leepub.com

da facts:
1) the american people take what they see and hear on tv as the gospel.
2) the american people do not realize that tv is bought by advertisers....(how they don't recognize this ...with the commercials is beyond me...)
3) these same advertisers have agendas--most of the selfish.
4) they advertisers have a serious amount of pull as to what you see and hear on that tv every nite. they basically pay the salaries of the tv networks, comprende?
5) americans believe they hear the truth on tv.
6) americans are stupid and forget to use their independent brains to figure out this monetary connection between advertisers and tv.
7) advertisers also lobby in washington.
8) advertisers = powerful companies = friendly to govt.
9) washington, advertisers, (and tv) are the determining what you see.....is it the truth>or their version? how do you KNOW?
10) THEIR agendas all mix together.
11) these agendas are spoon fed to us every night on our tv sets....like a big brainwashing system.
12) Since Americans are failing to use their brains, they are not aware of the truth behind this entire bush/cheney/oil regime/advertising/tv farce.
13) americans and the rest of the world are going to suffer if they don't stand up and listen to what is REALLY going on in this world.
14) and finally, this change begins at home. spread the word! fax the whitehouse! make a poster! protest!

DON'T TAKE THIS SITTING DOWN!!!!!
peace.

Our environment

Jan 19, 2003 11:22AM EST

Ronald Salvo

Bush says he is "concerned about the envionment" but rejected the Koyoto Treaty iis permitting logging in our national forests and is gutting our clean air law by not forcing retrofitting our old poluting power plants. His record on just about everything is deplorable!

wake up America

Jan 28, 2003 06:41PM EST

A true AMERICAN

I am no more for war than you are. but i also see what has to be done. You forget to soon what happend on 9/11/01.but I beleve if action is not taken we could be facing the same mass destucton all over again only this time it could be nuculer . I think it is time we back the president instead of critisising him .Think about it what if it was your family in the twin towers.

bush is a son of a bitch, all he cares about is money!! he wants to start the war just for the oil, that he will get if he wins the war.If iraq is attacked, to defend itself it will need weapons and therefore it will buy them from America.
America might be the richest and most powerfull country in the world but with a mother fucker like bush in command it will be the poorest

3RD WORLD WAR

Feb 20, 2003 08:46PM EST

TIN STAR

SOME QUESTIONS TO ASK MISTER BUSH, MR BLARE OR MR. HOWARD.

1.HOW MANY OF THEIR OWN SONS AND DAUGHTERS ARE THEY GOING TO SEND OVER THERE?. FOR THIS MORAL CAUSE THAT THEY BELIEVE IN SO MUCH.

2. WHAT ABOUT OTHER COUNTRIES WITH DICTATORS, WILL THEY ALSO FREE THEM? EVEN IF THESE OTHER COUNTRIES HAVE NO OIL.

3. WILL CONSTRICPTION BE REINTRODUCED IF THE WAR DRAGS ON?
CAN'T KEEP THE SAME PEOPLE OVER THERE ALL THE TIME!!!!
COMMENTS.
SOME PEOPLE SAY THAT SADAM IS A MINI-ME OF HITLER!!
I SAY GEORGE BUSH IS HE (HITLER), RE-ENCARNATED.
HE HAS THE SAME SPARKLE IN HIS EYE WHEN HE ADRRESS HIS TROOPS AS HITLER DID.
AND WHAT ABOUT SOME OF THE WORDS HE USES,
"WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS BECAUSE WE HAVE THE BEST MILITARY IN THE WORLD. (THE NEW ROME OF THE 21ST CENTURY).
WHAT IS THE REAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT HITLER DID AND WHAT AMERICA IS DOING NOW.

why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
