cops fighting a losing battle on behalf of their dumb masters. they're just gonna wind up paying money to these same bikers when they get sued. that's what happened at the DNC in 2000 in LA. you cops should stop wasting all our resources, grow some backbone and go on strike.

hey bong, just outta curiosity...how is riding a bike int he street against the law? if i recall correctly its against the law to ride on the sidewalk. grow some balls and shut the fuck up.

if cyclists ride in lane single file, they will block much much more traffic. is that what you want? use your head. they are making a good point.

if they were in cars they wouldn't get arrested and they would take up way more room, create pollution, support oil dictatorships, and have not much fun.

be rational and recognize a legitimate protest when you see it.

Seriously: the point here is that you're in the
tiny minority who thinks that arresting people
for collectively riding bikes is reasonable.
You're entitled to that opinion, just as

should be arrested for obstructing law and order

It seems a lot of the commands are running VERY low manning. a friend told me the 3rd platoon in the 28 pct tonite had FIVE (5!!!) cops at roll call. very dangerous and sad............oh yeah, there has also been 4 savages shot in the 28 within the last 24 hours. do you think the animals are aware we are running thin??

So... if thousands of cars in NYC cause traffic, that's A-OK. But if bikes cause traffic, that's illegal? Right.... that makes sense.

Bong, speaking for someone who was there, the police were not arresting those breaking the law. They were arresting whoever they could. People in the designated bike lanes were being pulled out of them into the road (by cops), then informed them that they're blocking traffic because they're in the road.

Cops on their motorcycles behind me were running into the back of me while I was walking my bike, not saying anything, just to move me out of the way.

Because of this incident, I have lost any respect I've had for police officers.

hi, im an avid biker and enjoy biking in the streets. This is also a right that everyone is taught about when they get their drivers license. I do wonder if there is a legal loophole for them to be able to arrest them. If not, then each and everyone of the bikers should fight the charge in court.
