I am not entirely shocked by the way that police have/are responding to the protest and direct action, but it seems way to convenient for them to claim that the MSG is being invaded by anarchists -- declare "leaders" and arrest people violently. How can we continue and what should we do to protect ourselves/others/ and in general FIGHT THE POWERS THAT BE!!! (for they are clearly fucked up)

Frankly, I'm super-pleased that protesters are getting sight-and-sound access to the delegates as they pass by.

unfortunately by engaging in this tactic (mass protest) we become easy targets for this response. if you do this than it is best to be prepared to respond by gearing up: protective mask, water, first aid kit, and depending on your levle of commitment defensive/ counter strike tools and we will leave that open to make your own choices.

it was awesome because many many many many people gong about their regular business were involved in the penned corners and great interaction between people out there to demonstrate and regular folks...
just need more fliers to give out to peole and a few more rushes thorugh the weak initial police lines into the street across the street etc...

The spin I put is seeing the local street theatre, rallies, actions -- no terror, met by police-class uber-violence goes to show Rove/Bloomberg has lost control and GOP death-wish campaign is cracking apart -- America in peril.
