Is this the group a few minutes later they were decimated by the NYPD? Quite a commentary on our society today.

well, we weren't the ONLY ones decimated by the NYPD... but, yeah... still - i think i can speak for most of us when i say that playing on the streets this past week was one of the best experiences in my life - it goes down in my personal history. nothing, really, prepared me for how exciting and gratifying that turned out to be (i am still running on the adrenaline, and not much else). even after 42 hours in the clink, NO regrets at all - met some amazing people (boy, there sure are a lot of you) and had the extremely humbling experience of having all those hours to dwell on how some people go through that experience on a regular basis. they don't have hundreds of people cheering for them, offering them massages, medical attention, legal advice and hugs when they leave the jail. i am a lucky, privileged woman.
