Several thousand people gathered at the corner of 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. to watch the election returns. The diverse crowd included people from Harlem and all over New York City, as well as media and tourists from all over the world. When Obama was announced the winner at 11PM people celebrated in the streets well into the night.
