It seems that the attacks just keep coming.
During the mishandling of hurricane Katrina's aftermath and while repairs are starting to take shape in N.O., news of Rehnquist's death is announced. We need to immediately shift some attention to this issue. Bush, who at this juncture in time should face the possibility of impeachment for his slow response and lack of commitment to the rescue effort, will try to quickly and quietly to get his nominee John Roberts, a staunch anti-abortion Republican, into the Supreme court. Justices are named for life, and Robert being only 50 years of age would give Bush the chance to expand his conservative agenda and extend it well past his presidency. We need to start spreading the word that this man does not share the mainstream views of the American people, and that we demand a liberal or better yet progressive judge on the stand to give balance and fairness to the court.
