WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU'RE UNDER ATTACK:
WORKERS OF THE WORLD FIGHT BACK, FIGHT BACK:
A LABOR DAY SPECIAL

Another Labor Day, another parade, more political campaigning,
& sales galore. But what about the condition of the workers— those
organized into unions as well as those (the majority) left to their own
devices to confront the bosses’ attacks? What of those who can’t find
work or are displaced? That’s our focus on this Labor Day, the working
class in N.Y.C, the nation, and the world. We need to put the movement
back in the labor movement, and build bridges to all people's
movements for social change. So to hell with Bush and his class; we’ll
focus on health care, keeping pensions & Social Security, jobs with
good pay and benefits, and we haven’t forgotten a redistribution of
the wealth from the “haves and have mores.”

We’ll bring you five hours of workers news and views and a special
report on the victims of Katrina’s wrath and governments’ neglect.
So join worker legends such as Dolores Huerta, Rev. James Lawson,
and Utah Philips and meet with immigrant rights activists across the
country. Tune into and be turned on by the sparks raised by youth
organizing and find out about Hip Hops efforts to build cultural worker
unions. And, on the cultural workers front we’ll be treated to poet Naomi
Shihab Nai, playwriter Gary Anderson, singer/songwriter John
O’Connor’s works and we’ll take you to China, Africa and Latin America
so that Workers Of The World Really Unite!
