Please look at this article from today's Jersey Journal. Vladimir Putin will be visiting Bayonne New Jersey this thursday September 15th, to dedicate a 9-11 Memorial. We must protest this tyrant, Putin has had the Russian Military kill thousandsof people in Chechnya. Putin has murdered and jailed his political opponents, and shut down all opposition television and radio stations. Putin has ignored, if not encouraged the anti-semitism in prevalent in russian society. Putin has passed draconian security laws that bring back the worst abuses of the Soviet Union. Vladimir Putin is a tyrant with blood on his hands, we must take direct action against this tyrant and protest his visit. I will not have the memory of 9-11 marred by his attending, and it is an insult to have such a dictator in the USA. I call on the Bayonne Police department to arrest Vladimir Putin for crimes against humanity. I also call for all activists to protest his presence this thursday in Bayonne, New Jersey!!!

I have posted articles fromt he Jersey Journal Below:

ROOTIN' FOR PUTIN

Bayonne's 100-foot-tall Sept. 11 memorial will be dedicated Thursday at 5:30 p.m., Mayor Joseph V. Doria Jr. announced yesterday.

The dedication ceremony for "To the Struggle Against World Terrorism" will be held in the northeastern corner of the Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor (the former Military Ocean Terminal).

Russian dignitaries, including President Vladimir Putin, have been invited, city spokesman Joseph Ryan said, and Putin is expected to attend.

The public is invited to the event, but are asked to be in place by 5 p.m. Security screening will begin at 3:30 p.m.

For information about shuttle buses and parking, check BAY-TV Channel 78 or the municipal Web site, www.bayonnenj.org.

The monument was first accepted by Jersey City, but after then-Mayor Glenn D. Cunningham's death, Jersey City officials turned down the offer of the monument.
