The photo exhibit "Bullets to Coffee Beans: Santa Anita La Union" is currently on view at Bluestockings from June 1st through June 26th. After 36 years of civil war in Guatemala, a community of ex-guerrillas put down there arms and returned to their traditional tool, the machete. They are fighting for justice and subsistence with a radically different model of change: fair trade, organic coffee.
