AIDSVote momentum, House plus-up for HOPWA, Ryan White update and more
VOTA: HW federal honcho Robert Cordero rocks the AIDSVote in 2004
A strong coalition is forming around AIDSVote, the C2EA initiative to present top AIDS demands to candidates in the 2006 elections and challenge them to a Q&A on where they stand on those issues. Recently, HW head Charles King and Robert Cordero met with reps from groups including RESULTS, Jubilee USA, the American Medical Students Association and Physicians for Human Rights about being a part of the AIDSVote initiative.
Soon, the national C2EA steering committee is going to review and ratify the AIDSVote platform and candidate questionnaires of top-line demands. As soon as that happens, we'll share it with you.
Plus, don't forget that C2EA's 2nd annual Youth Action Institute takes place next Wednesday through Sunday in Chicago, chockful of seminars and workshops to fire up a new generation of HIV-positive young people and their supporters for lives in activism.
