Donald Cresitello, the Mayor of Morristown New Jersey hosted an anti-immigrant rally on the steps of Morristown's city hall.

Under heavy police guard, a diverse coalition of anti-immigrant groups (ranging from neocon supporters of the war in Iraq to white supremacists all the way to supporters of anti-war presidential candidate Ron Paul) held a rally to demand that the local police of Morristown be granted the power to enforce federal immigration laws.

Across the street, a similarly diverse coalition of pro-immigrant protesters held their own rally.

Each side drew about 150-200 people. There were about 100 police officers from the town of Morristown itself and various municipalities on the scene to protect the rally from the counterdemonsrators.
