Although the recent financial crisis has dominated the headlines, several area comedians have not forgotten the tragic and ongoing genocide in Darfur. This December will see "Tell your Friends! There's No Christmas In Darfur!," a once-in-a-lifetime gathering of some of the city's top comics to benefit Save Darfur!

This event, to take place at Brooklyn's newest performance venue, will feature comedians from "The Daily Show w/ Jon stewart," "Late Night w/ Conan O'Brien," Comedy Central, and much more. Included on the bill is international headliner Greg Giraldo, who is considered by many comedians to be one of the country's best.

Although this is sure to be a sold-out event, tickets are still available for presale through Ticketweb.com. Here's hoping more New Yorkers remember the true holiday spirit this year.
