Brad Will's story of NY community gardens

Brad Will | "In New York City...something really amazing happened.... People took back their neighbourhoods, one lot at a time. They cultivated unique community greenscapes. They brought their homes with them: from the rural south to Harlem; from Puerto Rico to the Lower East Side; from Jamaica to East New York; from the Dominican Republic to the South Bronx. They disregarded property rights and did what was right for their neighbors. The story of the community gardens is thousands of stories. I can tell a few." more...  0 Comments

Warning signs: 3 Days before Brad was killed, police "fired in the air" at people in a Oaxaca city.

Anon | There were signs earlier this week that Oaxaca was growing increasingly dangerous and explosive. According to the Associated Press, three days before Brad was killed, police "fired in the air" at people in a small Oaxaca city, about 120 miles from the capital. They were protesting the arrival of Oaxaca governor, Ulises Ruiz, a hated figure, who has been accused of rigging his own election.

There have been reports that Brad Will was killed while standing at a barricade that had been erected near the governor's house in Oaxaca City.
