gan | Welcome to the twenty-first century, welcome to social retrogression and the new barbarism – primitive theological values and barbarism have temporarily stolen the post-modern age. Quite an irony in today’s highly advanced society but the reality of barbarism and retrogression are undeniable. The world’s most advanced technological nation is a perfect example. America has succumbed to theological ideology and all the bigoted, avaricious, violent values associated with primitive religion and barbarism. A crusader, a mental deficient who fancies himself a ‘holy’ knight of the Middle Ages battling the forces of ‘evil’, leads the USA; a literal mental retard and social regressive leads the world’s ‘leading’ nation. more... 0 Comments

Quixote Center/Quest for Peace | For twenty-five years United States policy toward Nicaragua has been directed by two goals: working against Sandinista efforts to hold or retain power, and forcing free market ideology on the country in the form of trade agreements and harsh loan conditions from USAID, the World Bank, IMF and other institutions. This is not the policy of the people of the United States, and we need to make that clear. more... 1 Comments

Reid | Thank you for your article (link below) on Howard and particularly for highlighting his disregard for Australian youth. I am appalled by his attitude to young Australians. Australia has one of the highest youth suicide rates in the developed world and little wonder; the short-term interests of corporate profit, crushing taxation laws and the introduction of ‘guest workers’ have stolen the future from the majority of our youth. Our youth now experience ever-increasing difficulty obtaining work skills needed for their survival. more... 0 Comments

Sierra Freeman | “Water” digs deep into issues that many in India are reluctant to discuss. Now that it has finally been released, it is easy to see why defenders of tradition would want to thwart it. Set in the late 1930s against a backdrop of social upheaval and the quest for national independence, the movie explores the lives and the changing expectations of India’s ultimate outcasts: widows. more... 2 Comments

smurf | Haifa University economist Steven Plaut was convicted last week of libeling a fellow academic, Neve Gordon of Ben-Gurion University's Department of Politics and Government, and ordered to pay the plaintiff NIS 80,000 in compensation plus NIS 15,000 in legal fees... One of Plaut's articles, published in 2001 and still posted on the Internet (conservativetruth.org), is entitled "Haaretz promotes the 'Jews for Hitler.'" It was a response to Gordon's review in Haaretz of Norman Finkelstein's book, "The Holocaust Industry." The judge ruled that the article's title clearly implies that Gordon is a "Jew for Hitler" and that this constitutes libel.

finn | It’s not difficult to arrive at an accurate assessment of the present Oz leadership, the government of John Howard. Love Howard or not, he has the local population eating his lies like it was manna from heaven. Howard’s treasurer recently announced that the Oz government was out of debt, in view of a national foreign debt of $493 billion, the highest ever recorded by an astronomical ‘mile’, the announcement of no government debt becomes meaningless double-talk. But which figure does the public prefer to embrace? The lie of course, it’s far more comforting – the media’s emphasis on the treasurer’s remarks at the expense of the horrendous crippling debt is not unintentional. more... 0 CommentsPage 32 | Page 30
