Times Up! | New York, NY (June 23, 2006) – On Saturday, June 24th 2006 TIME'S UP! an environmental direct action group, and MORE GARDENS!, a community garden support group, will join the HARLEM UNITED GARDENERS to celebrate and save 19 endangered Harlem community gardens. A bike ride from downtown will link up with the Save Harlem Gardens Parade which will visit these oases of community sustainability in the midst of urban sprawl and concrete. The event will raise awareness of the need to protect our community gardens in danger of destruction by developers.
