Angel Thompson-Georges, The New York Megaphon | The paper industry has a deservedly bad reputation when it comes to ecological impact; few manufacturing industries can say otherwise. Years of irresponsible environmental practices will plague future generations, but from the inside I am watching an industry taking responsibility for its history and actions. Perhaps driven by the connection between raw materials and ecological impact, or maybe because of the tradition of nepotism that remains, the paper industry is making changes to ensure a more sound environmental future.
