Who is Running For WBAI Station Board?

Pacifica Watcher | The WBAI Local Station Board elections are rapidly approaching. With the station continuing to bleed subscription dollars, the elections are an important step forward for the station.

The elections have attracted a gaggle of potential "listener candidates." They include candidates from at least two BAI "factions" (justice and unity and list-prog) and well as at least one former supporter of the Christmas Coup (remember Paul DiRienzo and Santiago Nieves in the mornings instead of Amy Goodman?). Even a few people under forty appear to be running for the LSB.

frank zappatista | The things you see sitting in the suburbs over the holiday's ... I turn on the TV at 9:00pm on a Friday night, flip past FOX news, and lo and behold, who is on but Leslie Cagan of UFP & J. The headline says "Talking About the Republican National Convention." Immediately, Hannity and Colmes start to lay into her. Does protest matter at all-- first question. Second question-- shouldn't we do somthing about terrorism? Third question-- what would you have done after the Afghanistan bombing? And that was all from the "liberal" commentator, Mr. Colmes Then it was Hannity's turn. more...  19 Comments
