A List of US, Canadian and European Corporations Profiting from Death and Repression in Oaxaca

evil | These companies do business in Oaxaca with the corrupt PRI government of Ulises Ruiz Ortiz and under Plan Puebla Panama. They are part of the repression and they need to be held accountable! They need to divest or face up to the crimes against humanity and against the people of Oaxaca that they play a major part in by propping up the corrupt regime of Governor Ulises Ruiz Ortiz and the PRI. We know the truth. Start hitting these bastards where it hurts until the killing stops in Oaxaca, for justice and for Brad. more...  0 Comments

NYC IMC statement on Caña Cadeza Investigation

NYC IMC | Here's what we do know: the Governor of Oaxaca, Ulises Ruiz Ortiz, has a proven track record of sending plainclothes paramilitaries to commit murder and other human rights violations against the people of Oaxaca. We do not trust him or any of his underlings - underlings who include Oaxaca Prosecutor General Lizbeth Caña Cadeza. We have absolutely no confidence in the results of the "investigation" of Brad Will's murder carried out by Prosecutor Caña Cadeza. more...  2 Comments

Rally in Support of El Puente Academy for Peace and Justice

El Puentista | On Friday; October 6th, the El Puente Academy for Peace and Justice, a nationally celebrated public high school, was summarily evicted from its home of 13 years (211 South 4th Street) by the New York City Department of Education (DOE). Citing their "sudden" awareness of worsening building conditions (the same conditions that drove El Puente for years to demand DOE support), the DOE dangerously and disrespectfully removed the Academy's operations to M.S. 50 literally overnight, without any prior consultation with the students, parents, administrators or teachers of either school community. El Puente calls for your support. more...  1 Comments

Venezuela: ¿invasión o falso antiimperialismo?

PCInt.

Approximately 150 protesters marched during rush hour traffic blocking the entrances to the Oakland Bay Bridge. Video: A Message from the Iraqi Resistance

cermendi | We are simple people who chose principles over fear. And to the American soldiers we say, you can also choose to fight tyranny with us. Lay down your weapons, and seek refuge in our mosques, churches and homes. We will protect you. And we will get you out of Iraq , as we have done with a few others before you. Go back to your homes, families, and loved ones. This is not your war. Nor are you fighting for a true cause in Iraq. more...  0 Comments

Food Not Bombs Heads to Nigeria

AnaiRhoads.org | The land, once lush, has suffered rapid deforestation, soil
degradation, general water and air pollution in the more urban areas,
and desertification. It is said the most pollution in Nigeria can be
directly caused by oil. Spills have tainted the waters, constant
burning of oil wells have affected the air, and the soil that once gave
birth to rich foods in abundance is now barely uberous.
