PDSP | “The details that BAYAN MUNA party-list Rep. Satur Ocampo and his colleagues (Rafael Mariano, and Teodoro Casiño of BAYAN MUNA; Liza Maza of GABRIELA; Joel Virador Crispin Beltran of ANAKPAWIS) want, regarding the diversion of their pork barrel funds to abet communist insurgency, are now part of the evidence in the rebellion charges being filed by government against them,” Intengan said.

jj | "In a very real sense, Ruairí Ó Bradáigh can . . . be said to be the last, or one of the last Irish Republicans. Studies of the Provisional movement to date have invariably focused more on the Northerners and the role of people like Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness. But an understanding of them is not possible without appreciating where they came from and from what tradition they have broken. Ruairí Ó Bradáigh is that tradition and that is why this account of his life and politics is so important."

Walter C. Uhler | Having recently revisited the international law governing the use of military force by reading Christine Gray's book, International Law and the Use of Force, I approached Henry Kissinger's April 9, 2006, Op-Ed in the Washington Post with eager interest. Unfortunately, as I waded through his Rules On Preventive Force, I found myself in the midst of a smoke and mirrors justification for "extending" international law to permit the type of illegal preventive war that should earn President George W. Bush impeachment and a subsequent trial by a War Crimes Tribunal more... 0 Comments

peptide | Analysts have been aware of the pre-planned sequence of attacks on Iraq and Iran following the invasion of Afghanistan for some time, ‘two down, one to go’ – the plan was conceived years ago. The utilisation of ‘strategic’ nuclear weapons, so-called bunker-busters, in future warfare was also clearly indicated by the US military during the Afghan campaign. The planned attack on Iran incorporating nuclear weapons should not surprise anyone. The USA has proven to the world that it is unable to prevail in sustained conventional warfare. The troops and the nation are simply not up to the task, successful ground combat is now beyond the capability of the USA – China, Russia and other powers have taken note. more... 0 Comments
