The Mandal Case is Going to Trial

This is an important class action suit by hundreds of activists who are accusing the City/NYPD with putting them through the system in arrests at protest-"crimes" for which, legally they should have only gotten summonses. Plaintiffs contend this policy was attempt by the city to discourage protest. The trial has been underway since Dec. 4th. Summary/closing arguments are expected on Wed., Dec 13th. Moore and Goodman are the lawyers representing the protesters.

It is important that there is a turnout when the judge charges the jury-so please attend the trial if you can. This suit affects people arrested up to recent times.

Time: Starts 9:45 am, Wed., Dec 13th
Place 500 Pearl St., Room 11D

Please circulate the news widely, many the lawyers have lost touch with some of the plaintiffs.
