Apparently the suspect "certain elements" consisted of the Ohio Labor Party - sponsors of the resolution. The measure was referred to the incoming USLAW national steering committee , along with resoutions condemning the threat of military action against Iran submitted from the San Francisco Labor Council, a solidarity resolution on Oaxaca, also from SF Labor Council, a shield law for journalists, and a resolution calling for unity in the antiwar movement, submitted by NY City Labor Against the War.

The Assembly did however formally adopt a resolution endorsing the national antiwar demo in Washington, DC, called by United for Peace and Justice for January 27, 2007
